The Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (SMEDAN) and the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) are partnering to reduce the logistic cost for small and medium scale enterprises across Nigeria. The two organizations recently signed a memorandum of understanding which would reduce the cost of logistics for MSMEs registered with SMEDAN.
According to the Director-General of SMEDAN, Charles Odii,:
The partnership as a direct response to feedback from SMEs regarding the high cost of logistics and its negative impact on sales.
Through the partnership both agencies commit to fast-track deliveries and ensure seamless movement of goods especially to remote/rural areas in the country. They also will both establish dedicated customer service units to address complaints and address issues that may arise.
The agreement was signed by Tola Odeyemi, Postmaster General, NIPOST and Charles Odii, DG and CEO of SMEDAN.
